Approaching the big five oh

Again, I ask you, (yes, you) wasn't it just yesterday I graduated high school? How can it possibly be that in less than 4 days the first of several (I assume) 50th birthday celebrations will begin. That's right, half of the Commack Clan is partying down in Clearwater from Thursday through Tuesday of Columbus Day weekend.

Just the girls, no spouses, no kids (well maybe one kid - but he's all grown up so that doesn't count). It will be so much fun. Imagine a Sunday in October with no football on the tv? AWESOME!!!!!

Hope you all have a great time! I will be elbow deep in teenage girls celebrating Rosie's 15th birthday...Come on I know you are jealous...

I have a copy of the making of Rumors from Fleetwood Mac. Of course I thought of you... It's pretty good -it has interviews with the band members about their relationships at the time and of course about the music making process... I'll send you a copy if you want...
In regards to High School -I suppose being around Catie's friends reminds me of being that age... I wish I could go back and do it right(knowing what I know now...) Take care Lori -Wendy

Fun! The blog, I mean, not turning 50.

I can officially say now that I can't come to Florida. I'm sorry. I know you guys planned this well in advance but this is a bad time at my house. Hope you guys have fun!!

Everyone keeps saying that turning 50 isn't so bad, but they're liars! 50 sucks!

Have you thought of what you will have the little one call you?

somehow I can't picture you being called "Grandma" -Wendy

Thanks, Wendy - you are too funny, i can't picture me being called "grandma" either! I can tell you I don't wish to be called "Granny" or "Grammy," that's for sure! Maybe something cool, like "Mommadukes!!" (that's what Justin calls me sometimes!)

Lori -which son is making you a "Mammadukes"? How old are your boys now?

My girls are soon to be 15(Saturday) and 12 on 12/31/08...

Wendy - my younger son, Justin and his fiance, Vanessa are having a baby. The due date is on Justin's 25th birthday (May 26).

My older son, Joey, will be 26 in December.
